Specialty Eye Surgery & Laser Center
AOW was selected due to its extensive operating suite construction experience and its recent success with the same design team, to construct the Specialty Eye Surgery and Laser Center. The surgery center provides ophthalmology services in a non-hospital, patient-friendly environment. The new facility includes a Class-B and a Class-C operating room, a laser procedure room, an exam room, a pre-op/PACU area, as well as a reception area, sterile processing, storage, and staff areas. The modern design throughout coupled with calming décor helps lend to a positive patient experience.
Unsuitable soil was discovered at the start of the project and approximately 5000 cy of soil had to be removed from the site and replaced with structural fill. This unexpected condition did not ultimately delay the project and AOW was able to maintain the original project schedule.
