EARTH IS WHAT WE ALL HAVE IN COMMON
Sustainable Construction involves building structures that will not cause long term damage to the environment. Sustainable construction concerns itself not only with the environmental impact of building projects, but also the social and economic impacts. Sustainable buildings are designed to be energy efficient, to promote a health work environment for those working and living in them, and to reduce pollution and waste.
AOW partners with members of the design team and the Owner once sustainability is pursued to establish goals to ensure goals can be achieved. It is critical to establish clear strategies early so everything from building energy sources, construction materials, and even recycling programs can be sourced properly to mitigate the overall impact of a project on the environment.
THE BEST IMPACT WE CAN HAVE ON THE PLANET IS NO IMPACT
AOW has Project Management Staff with LEED AP Building Design and Construction Certifications, providing us with the ability to review and understand all LEED requirements. We are also able to serve as LEED Administrator on projects that involve a LEED credit for Innovation and Design.
