Jim Urner
President & Owner
Jim’s extensive knowledge of building construction, renovating, scheduling, and estimating is critical to his role as President. Jim assumes responsibility for AOW’s role on every project from inception to completion. Jim also works closely with his counterparts to provide mentoring and training opportunities to staff to promote professional advancement; he creates “wins” for our staff when promoting their growth. Jim’s expert experience in delivering projects on schedule and on budget is key to AOW’s continued success and client retention. Jim oversees business development as well, and balances strengthening established relationships with the continual development of new clients. Jim has managed and provided oversight on many major past and current projects throughout his career. This leadership has served as a cornerstone of AOW’s success. Jim graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Building Science.

Craig Kennedy
Vice President & Owner
Craig’s hands-on experience overseeing work in the field and from the office has provided him with an invaluable, unique perspective when mentoring our project management staff. Craig’s 30 years of field experience has given him an in-depth knowledge of constructability to include the ability to anticipate a realistic construction pace of a project. This experience serves as an excellent foundation for resolving the difficult issues that arise on every project. He is proficient at estimating and scheduling and is a real driver for project completion. Craig is highly valued by our client base; his ability to resolve problems on the fly, economically and efficiently without disrupting client operations is key to client retention. Craig also serves as a Project Executive, providing training and mentoring opportunities to Project Management staff allowing him to remain closely involved with clients and the constructability of their projects. Craig attended Hudson Valley Community College.

Ashley Zappone
Chief Financial Officer
Ashley is a strategic financial leader working in construction operations, cost accounting, and systems implementation since 2008. Since joining AOW Construction in 2011, she has advanced from Controller to CFO, earning trust through her integrity, technical expertise, and operational vision. She champions company-wide systems innovation with a steady, solutions-focused approach, aligning administrative processes and project management efforts while fostering collaboration across departments. Her leadership has guided the implementation of accounting and construction management platforms, enhancing operational efficiency and cross-functional transparency. Ashley, a calm communicator and trusted mentor, empowers teams through thoughtful training and insight-driven guidance. Her commitment to continuous improvement, client satisfaction, and cultivating strong industry relationships makes her an invaluable leader and driving force behind AOW’s financial and operational excellence.

Al Burgazoli
Project Executive
Al has worked with AOW Construction since 2000, with the majority of those years being a Senior Project Manager. In 2022, Al returned to AOW after spending nearly 4 years working as an Owner’s Representative for the McDonald’s Corporation, where he was able to expand his skills and expertise. In returning as a Project Executive, Al has taken on a leadership role with AOW. In addition to serving as a traditional Project Executive providing project leadership and management oversight, Al has also built a robust training and mentoring program for our estimating and project management functions. With three decades of experience in the construction industry, he is a talented construction manager, and his diverse background includes work in urban renewal, healthcare, senior living, education, and retail construction. Al is a natural leader and mentor with extensive experience in estimating, cost analysis, project execution, close-out, and is well-versed in the detailed nature of construction. Al believes in building relationships, open communication, accountability, and looking out for the Owner’s best interest on every project. These are the values he is passing down to the next generation of Project Managers at AOW.
