The Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish
With parts and pieces from several neighboring churches, AOW helped Immaculate Heart of Mary in Watervliet grow into a new space.
The original 5,300 square foot Church on 25th Street was redesigned and reoriented by Lammon Architects to serve a consolidating community.
The start of the project entailed the removal of an old wing of the church and the installation of new structural steel. Once the steel was installed AOW selectively removed the west wall of the church for expanded worship space into a new addition. A new entry to the church and administrative offices completed the 4,000 square feet of new additions to the church. New mechanical and electrical systems were installed to last into the future.
AOW performed much of the detailed carpentry on the job, evident in the quality of the finished building. Over the course of the project, AOW was able to preserve the project contingency so that the church could pave the parking lot without increasing the contract cost.
