SUNY Albany RNA Institute, Life Sciences Research Building
SUNY Albany wanted to expand the space and technology available to support life science research and with the help of AOW they were able to achieve this goal. The 15,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility dramatically expanded their ability to explore more research projects. This research center supports star researchers and attracts new ones while supporting scientific collaboration and research synergy in the Capital Region.
In addition, the Life Science Research Building is equipped with a new high-tech auditorium, wired with data and power ports to every seat and equipped for teleconferencing and satellite broadcasting.
Upon completion of construction, the RNA Institute Project was certified as LEED Silver.
The University at Albany’s impressive efforts to build research excellence in the sciences will continue to play a key role in building the economic strength of the Capital Region and in growing our local biotechnology industry throughout Tech Valley.
