AOW Associates was awarded the almost 30,000 square foot renovation at St. Peter’s Hospital as a result of a long-standing Owner relationship and the ability to maintain a GMP throughout the project duration. The ability to meet strict deadlines, manage heavy phasing requirements, and to keep the Medical Oncology and Breast Center suites operating throughout construction are strengths that AOW possesses.

The second floor is home to the Medical Oncology Department and renovations to include exam spaces, physician offices, infusion suites, and patient waiting and check-in areas were completed. This heavily phased portion of the project required AOW to continually construct provisional work areas to keep the entire floor functional to include the creation of a temporary pharmacy to serve the needs of the Oncology Department’s infusion services.

The third floor is home to the Breast Center and renovations were completed to the Breast Surgery Suite, their state-of-the-art conference room, changing rooms, and to their Mammography and Ultrasound Department. The Breast Center waiting room is the masterpiece of the floor, showing off an all-glass automatic, lighted sliding door immediately noticeable when stepping off of the main lobby elevators.

Both floors received extensive mechanical and electrical upgrades throughout as well as high quality millwork, well-appointed artwork, and other architectural finishes.

A large coordination effort was put forth between the Staff at St. Peter’s Hospital, the Design Team and AOW in order to complete both projects on the 2nd and 3rd floors while maintaining operations throughout the duration.
