DMNA Headquarters

AOW Construction was the low bidder on the DMNA Headquarters renovations. These renovations created a new entrance and lobby area between two existing buildings. The new entrance allows for a shorter journey between buildings, and the lobby itself is the perfect place for events to be held.

This project included abatement, demolition, concrete foundations and slab, metal structure for a new canopy, custom oval security desk, doors, blast rated storefront system, metal panel system, fiberglass oval column covers, acoustic ceiling, custom wood colored linear metal ceiling, different types of acoustic panels – four of which were customized with military imagery, exterior signage with customized plaque, concrete sidewalks to new entrance, sitework and landscaping.

Construction posed many significant challenges. There was a small site to work within which required coordination of subcontractors and material deliveries to allow each trade space to do their work effectively. Strategic planning was required between AOW and the facility since their previous main entrance required relocation, and construction work was required to be done in existing common spaces.
