The Wesley Spring Tower 1st and 5th Floor Renovation Project, Wesley Community, Saratoga Springs, NY
The Wesley Senior Living Facility is a long term care provider for seniors located in Saratoga Springs and is a part of the Wesley Community, providing a variety of senior care services also including adult day care, independent, and assisted living. AOW has partnered with the Wesley Community on a number of projects involving facilities improvements. AOW served as Construction Manager on this project which included the renovations of the 1st and 5th floors of the Springs Tower located directly in the center of the Wesley Community. AOW approached the renovation work over several carefully planned phases as the work was undertaken adjacent to areas occupied mostly by individuals considering the Spring Towers their home. The first floor renovations included a new administrative office suite, upgraded flooring, ceiling and wall finishes throughout, a new ambulance drop-off vestibule, a café and gift shop, beauty salon, and a drive under Porte Cochere entrance canopy to provide cover during drop off and pick up.
The fifth floor renovations included a multi-phased renovation to 15,000 sf of existing space with completely new mechanical and electrical systems throughout. The floor was fitted out with 23 resident rooms, which will house a total of 30 residents on the floor. Each resident room includes a spacious bathroom with floor to ceiling porcelain tile, new energy efficient exterior windows, individual patient lift systems, and contemporary furniture. Residents on the 5th floor will enjoy a new Spa Room with a walk in jet tub and two large great rooms (each equipped with flat screen televisions and electric fireplaces with decorative stone surrounds). A more spacious dining room, equipped with a country kitchen and pantry for on-floor food prep will also be available to the 5th floor residents.
This ten month, $5 million renovation to the 1st and 5th floors, has set the precedence for the remaining floors of the Spring Tower as planning is underway to continue with upgrades throughout the Wesley Community.
Oneida Hall will get a small facelift during this project which is inclusive of upgrading finishes.
