Onondaga & Oneida Hall Rehabilitation, University at Albany
AOW competitively bid and was awarded the Onondaga & Oneida Halls Rehabilitation and Asbestos Abatement project being administered by The New York State Dormitory Authority. This project is one of many being undertaken by The State University of New York’s Albany Campus under The Facilities Master Plan which has identified and prioritized construction projects that advance the academic and research and support the Strategic Plan of the University. AOW has had a near continual presence on SUNY’s uptown campus for the last 8 years completing renovations to dormitories, lab, and classroom spaces as well as completing exterior improvements, elevator upgrades, and providing demolition services.
Onondaga Hall is a three-story dormitory located near the center of the campus at the University of Albany. The project consists of the complete interior demolition, abatement, and renovation of this 22,000 square-foot building. 430 new, custom windows along with finishes will be installed to include luxury vinyl floor tile, mosaic porcelain tile, and both textured and linear metal ceilings. All new mechanical systems will be installed which feature radiant heating panels in every room. The building entry will be transformed into a two-story atrium with glass at the second floor, creating visibility to and from the lobby.
Oneida Hall will get a small facelift during this project which is inclusive of upgrading finishes.
