This unique structure was constructed by AOW after extensive value engineering with the Architect and Owner brought the project within budget. Some strategies included utilizing the congregation to perform the work such as painting, flooring and landscaping. The interior is as impressive at the exterior with architectural domes, vaults and arches constructed out of wood and reinforced plaster. The domes are supported by steel structures allowing for wood construction to complete the overall building.

For twelve years, The Holy Virgin Mary Russian Orthodox Church worked to raise funds for construction. The current Church serves the religious needs of a small Orthodox Community of Russian immigrants and their children who settled in New York State’s Capital Region over the course of the last century. AOW Associates was instrumental in making this dream a reality.
