Boght Community Fire House
When the Boght Fire District realized they were growing much too large to carry out their daily routines, they began discussing the possibility of relocating and building a new fire house. AOW was selected to serve as Construction Manager for the new building. The intent of this project was to combine an aging existing fire house and a separate emergency medical service facility into one new state of the art facility. This emergency services facility serves both the Boght Community Fire District and the Town of Colonie Emergency Medical Services Station No. 4.
This building was carefully constructed by AOW to contain six fire apparatus bays and three ambulance bays as well as a fire hall, and administrative offices. This new, modern emergency services facility is a valuable asset to the surrounding communities as it assists in allowing firefighters and emergency medical technicians the functional space needed to properly prepare and arrive at a destination ready to act. This new facility will enable the Boght Fire District to serve their community for years to come.
AOW is proud to have been Construction Managers on this very important community project. With 27,000 square feet of new construction, including a 7,500 square Apparatus Bay, a 3,400 square feet EMS Bay with additional sleeping accommodations, a large multipurpose training room and much needed storage areas, this facility is now a corner stone of the community.
