The generation of baby boomers will live longer and healthier lives than those who came before them. Therefore, these seniors want more options when they are deciding how to spend their later years of life. As their ages rise, so does the need for assisted living centers.
The Baptist Health project that AOW completed consists of the construction of a 60,000 square foot, 74 unit assisted living community. The facility is comprised of a single building with a three story residential component. One story of this structure, totaling 8,700 square feet includes a full commercial kitchen, dining room, as well as, administration offices and program spaces.
In addition, this building has been designed to support a ten bed Assisted Living Program and a 50 bed Enriched Housing Program. The project completed on time and at budget due to the strategic planning and optimal management of the AOW team.
AOW began Phase II of Baptist Health’s Planned expansion projects in August, 2013 as Baptist Health has awarded AOW a $30 million contract to complete 8 small houses with 24 residents occupying each house, community building and maintenance building.
