St. Peter’s Hospital Medical Oncology and Breast Center
AOW in collaboration with Iron Sword Enterprises, a certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, completed 3 successful renovations at the Stratton VA Medical Center simultaneously.
The VA Auditorium was a 4,000 square foot renovation of auditorium and support space on the Hospital’s 3rd floor. The work included abatement and demolition, and the installation of new flooring, ceilings, window treatments, and acoustical wall panels. Updated lighting was added throughout the space and new mechanical, electrical, sprinkler, and data systems were installed. In addition to the main auditorium space, an adjacent kitchenette was fully renovated.
A 3,000 square foot renovation created a new angiogram procedure room. The work included abatement and demolition, the installation of new mechanical, electrical, and sprinkler systems, and the addition of new flooring, automatic doors, ceilings, and updated lighting, A new structural support system was installed for the ceiling mounted equipment required for the procedure room. An adjacent reading room was also renovated and appointed with state-of-the-art equipment.
A major renovation to the existing lobby was also undertaken and two new covered ramps were created on either side of the main entrance. In order to keep the main entrance open throughout construction, the renovation and additions were completed over 10 separate phases. The lobby was extended into the former storefront entrance and new flooring, and natural tile wall coverings were installed. A new reception area was also created. The existing dental clinic was transformed into a fully functional 3,000 square foot police department including a bullet proof reception area, command center, holding cell, locker rooms, staff break room, and offices.
