SUNY Albany Class Lab Renovation Phase V
AOW has an extensive catalog of completed projects for the State University of New York on various campuses to include several classroom and laboratory renovations.
This renovation, on the SUNY Albany Campus, was a multi-phase project to update laboratory and laboratory support spaces in the Biology, Physics, and Chemistry Buildings. Phasing was required in order to provide the least disruption to students and class schedules.
The work included abatement and demolition and extensive upgrades to mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems. Each laboratory space received refurbished casework, new epoxy tops, and new lab equipment to include an autoclave and fume hoods. Throughout lab and support spaces, new doors, ceilings, flooring, window coverings, and architectural accessories and finishes were installed.
As part of SUNY Albany’s campus-wide facilities improvement plan, this renovation resulted in more functional and modernized learning space.
