CEO: Joe Bruno

This three-floor, 30,000 square-food structure was designed to be architecturally compatible with its urban neighbors. Situated on a busy city block adjacent to buildings of wide architectural diversity, the Commission on Economic Opportunity’s Joseph L. Bruno Family Resource Center Houses offices for the Commission, as well as a community daycare program.
Its tight location on a busy downtown street necessitated the utmost in safety during all construction phases. Site work, which included rock excavation, and a high water table were particularly challenging.  In addition to the new building, AOW Associates renovated an adjacent brownstone into offices for CEO. This project included a three story stair tower addition and was built to exacting historic preservation standards.
