Mark Caufiled

Mark Caulfield was hired as an intern for AOW in the winter of 2018. It quickly became apparent that Mark’s education, his ability and desire to learn, his dedication, and his excellent communication skills would be an ideal permanent fit for AOW. Mark has become proficient in quantity take-off and our bidding process and has effectively managed small projects for AOW. Mark’s focus professionally is to become well versed in estimating while managing larger projects for AOW. His internship as a NYS DOT Construction Inspector over 2 consecutive summers and earning his OSHA 30 has made Mark keenly aware of field safety requirements. Mark is also extremely company minded, client focused, and professional.

Relevant Experience

Baptist Health Enriched Housing Program

The Baptist Health project is a 60,000 square foot, three-story, assisted living facility comprising 74 units. Within the building, 8,700 square feet is dedicated to a full commercial kitchen, dining room, administration offices and program spaces. In addition, this building has been designed to support a ten bed Assisted Living Program and a 50 bed Enriched Housing Program. This project finished on time due to the strategic planning and optimal management of the AOW team.

Albany Medical Center Cardiac Cauterization Dept. Renovations

This 8,000 square foot project, at four different hospital locations, involved the complete demolition and rebuild of the entire Cardiac Cauterization Department.  AOW was selected to undertake this project in order to insure the hospital remained up-to-date with technology.  The project incorporated many specialized systems to include nurse’s call, oxygen, medical air, and vacuum.  Intricate coordination and extreme safety precautions were taken as a portion of the project involved asbestos abatement adjacent to occupied patient care areas.

Eddy Village Greenhouses at Cohoes

Eddy Village Green is the first of its kind in New York State offering an innovative approach to nursing home care. Eliminating the conventional, institutional feel of traditional nursing facilities, the green houses, consist of16 ranch-style houses with each house accommodating 12 residents. The homes, complete with screened-in porches, are designed to look and feel like a personal residence. This three phase project was constructed on an existing nursing home site. Phasing was necessary to maintain existing buildings, access and services.
